Sport Quattro hood price!!!

Tigran, since you are new to Audis you may not know what a Sport Quattro
is.  It is an ultra-rare short wheelbase quattro coupe special made
around 1984.  There were only a bit over 200 cars made.  The hood and
fenders are kevlar composite.  They are not only expensive on the parts
book, but are virtually unobtainium in reality.

Powered by a 300hp 20-valve turbo 5-cylinder engine, the car was produced
as a FIA homologation requirement for Group B rallying.  The mandated
minimum number of production units for sale was 200.  This model was never
officially imported into the US, but a few did find their way here.
The Beddor family in Minnesota owns about half of them.  In racing trim,
the Sport Quattro S1 conquered the top title in the Pikes Peak hillclimb
several times, supposedly making upwards of 1000hp.

Given this, the lofty price of Sport-Q specific parts is hardly surprising.
