I have seen this symptom on 3 out of three '84, '85 coupe and 4kq
recently, where cars have been sitting and oil pressure warn goes on at
~2500 RPM.
Two had a bad high pressure switch.
Another was a combination of oxidation on the connector to the switch
and a bad oil pressure warning relay.
Changing oil helped, but problem eventually boils down to something in
the pressure switch warning circuitry. Try clean connectors and chang
oil first. Then replace oil switch, and failing that the relay.

Did you try swapping out the sending units with known good ones? That
would
be my first step. I can remember this happening to my 'ol '85 4ksq. Your
high rpm oil pressure sending unit (2500rpm on up) is not working, and
triggering the buzzer and oil pressure light would be my guess. Although
when you ran it at 3000rpms it worked. Might also look at the top
sending
unit connection. Try some Wurth Contact Oil spray or Stabilant 22.
Audi Gods are getting back at you from lack of use...
