*sigh* Like there aren't enough legit warranty claims denied on the basis
of totally unrelated modifications. Sheesh. Kinda puts me with some of
the mechanics in the thread that were talking about how hard they worked
to be honest guys and improve the poor reputation of mechanics as a whole,
only to be set back to square one by one stupid guy.
Sometimes car enthisuasts have the same sort of image problem with
warranty folks due to the abuses of a few..

I remember a thread about a VW dealer going down to the drag strip at a
T&T night and writing down all the liscense numbers, then summarily
denying any claim of any kind from owners they found there citing "abuse"
of the car. Story went that they kept photos of said cars on file. Talk
about invading a party...
Dont get me wrong- some of those claims were probably smokes clutches from
drag launching and *should* have been denied, but the majority were
likely honest claims that the dealer skillfully wriggled out of. (Hence
the need for the warranty laws in the US..)
Dontcha love these great relationships between dealers and owners?
