O.K. I bought the pin kits and caliper kits at either
Import Parts Specialists in Boise, Idaho or VM
Autohaus in Vancouver, B.C. The adjuster shaft seals
I got off the shelf at the bearing supply house. (I
didn't know Lucas made all those kits at that time)
These are 24mm x 16mm x 6mm, where the OE ones are 7mm
deep. Didn't make a diff. in my case, and these were
in stock for less than $2. ea. I think the o-rings
for the base of the piston push rod are 14mm x 10mm x
2mm. They were in the same box so I think that's what
I used. These are metric O-TITE! TM. Made in Italy
of Buna-N rubber. There was some discussion about the
compatability of this type rubber, but I've had no
problems for over 50k and almost 2 years. 8 in a pack
at Pep Boys for a few bucks. Motormite (P.O. Box 1800
Colmar, Pa 18915-1800) is the packer of these o-rings.
I used Mobil 1 syn. grease for everything behind the
brake fluid. All my internal parts had some rust, but
no pitting. I used Scotchbrite green pads and Brasso
to clean them up real nice. I used a fine stone
caliper hone in the bore with a cordless drill. All
I've done for maintanence is flush the brake fluid
once a year. I'll look for a Lucas catalog.
