Temp idiot light, getting worse

i believe the top sender in the heck is for the gauge and the overtemp
warning. the bottom sender is for the CIS-E.
have you tried disconnecting the level sender in the expansion tank? it
also will set off the flashing coolant indicator, and might be
bad/stuck.
