90 Blower motor (controls?)

it's a pretty simple circuit.

power goes to the switch right behind your speed control knob, which
then sends out four wires (one from each position) to the general
direction of the fan, buried under the dash behind the glove box.

There they reach a resistor pack, a nice cheap old VW part ($20 or so,
that Atlantic had in stock), and the three "less than full-on" wires go
throught he resistors to the fan.  the full-on wire goes directly to the
fan, and so usually in the case of a bad resistor pack, the full
position usually still works.

You may not have power to the switch at all if no speeds work, or you
may have a dead fan.

the fan power is fuse 17, by the way.
