Off Topic: Engine Tilt for Spark Plug Replacement

This is about a 1998 Oldmobile Mini Van but you guys/girls are my only
resource.  I've searched the web.

I want to change the plugs in this transverse mounted V-6.  The fsm
(Helms)says to remove the top front engine struts and rotate the engine
forward.  That is about the extent of the explicit instructions.
Anyone ever done this.

It shows a special tool j-41131 that looks like a nylon strap.  It
literally says attach the tool and rotate the engine.  But how?  I was
thinking I could remove the struts and find a point underneath on the
engine/transaxle and jack it up.  Any BTDT would be greatly appreciated.
