Well, at 190,000 miles the clutch in my 1990 200Q is starting to make
some very unfavorable noises. This is the original clutch. Any BTDT
would be greatly appreciated, both with the removal and installation
and what parts should be replaced or checked when I do the job. I
know I need a PP, disc and throw-out bearing. Blaufurgnugen lists
some additional parts they recommend to replace as well, they also
seem to have the best price on a Sachs clutch kit. What about getting
the flywheel resurfaced and balancing the clutch and flywheel.
Any thoughts about an alignment tool for the disc and pressure plate
when bolting to the flywheel(back in my old british sports car days
we just used a spare input shaft from a dead tranny, I don't have one
of those from a 200). Is this a good time to replace the MC and slave?
Blah Blah Blah, lots of questions!
TIA
Blake Gibb
