Nah, it was rubbing, just not parked with the OE springs. Under
compression it would rub slightly on the wastegate flange as i found out
when the coilovers went on.

Meh, bent mine myself, and it's working right now, but you'd be amazed how
many times I had to take in out, and put it back in just to get a useable
'slight bend' you guys are talking about. Not quite as easy to get
everything lining back up, and clearing everything from lock to lock as it
may seem. with the bend one way it would hit the rear of the opening in
the strut tower, corrected too much, and going to opposite lock would
cause it to hit the front side of the opening. I think I have it 'close
'nuff' right now, no further rubbing all the way around after a couple
months of driving.
Later!
