Hardened rod bearings, 10vt vs 20 vt

Out of curiousity and from talking to a few people I
have heard something about the 20vt rod bearings being
hardened.  Here's one post I've found on it

Anyways, what's the deal, are the 10vt hardened like
the 20vt bearings?  Is there any advantage to using
one over the other?
