I led it under the rear carpet, along the passenger side door sills, to the
ECUin the passenger footwell. Then, up to the cabin firewall, where I found
an opening the size of a silver dollar at the very top of the firewall,
behind the glove box....way up under the dash. I already had the panels and
insulation out of this area, from previous messings about. The
silver-dollar sized entry point from the cabin opens into a tube-like
space about the same diameter, that runs horizontally across the firewall,
and which constitutes its upper border. This tube has another
silver-dollar sized opening into the air conditioner bay (containing the
blower motor) and it is is blocked by a plastic plug. Also the second
opening isn't exactly opposite the first one. There is maybe a two inch
offset between the two openings.
I pushed out the plastic plug and snaked the big ground wire out of the
cabin and into the air-conditioner bay, and thence forward to the actual
firewall partitioning the engine compartment from the air-conditioner bay.
There is a convenient opening behind the windshield washer tank, which
carries the washer fluid hose, and there was enough unused capacity in this
opening to allow passage of the ground wire out into the engine bay.
From there, I led it laterally in front of the strut tower and along the
passenger edge of the engine bay, to the headlight space. Here I fed it
into a connector block and distributed the circuit to the 4 headlight
circuits that I had constructed previously.
I tapped the main ground in the area of the connector block, grafted on a
#12 copper wire, and ran a that wire to the bolt on top of the ISV bracket,
said bolt located directly in the intake manifold casting.
Hope this is fairly clear.
Good snaking.....
