> [ Wheel torque, anti seize on lug bolts, etc... ]
a couple of little asides about this topic...
1. it seems to be standard operating procedure at NTB (or at least the
local one here), in the case of alloy wheels, to tell the customer to
return in a few days to have their lugs retorqued.
2. anti seize is advisable on the rotor/hub and wheel/rotor mating
surfaces to prevent them corroding in place over time. while its
effects on torque specs are a bit scary to discuss, I have backed off
from using it "everywhere I can" in two places - wheels lug bolts and
brake caliper bracket mounting bolts. Anywhere else that doesn't
require some form of locking compound, or lock nuts, I use it.
