is a pictorial story of the time I swapped my clock.
The clock does not have its own lighting per se - it is just one of the
many bulbs for the cluster.
I would recommend being prepared to replace more than one, my cluster
was all sort-of lit when I got the car, yet still had about 5 dead bulbs
here and there. Dealer item, about $2-3 each, but who cares about
price?
As far as the steering wheel, it is easy to remove, don't worry about
it. You *can* pull the cluster with it in place but it is much easier
with it out of the way. My "report" shows all of this process as well.
It is handy to have a 12v power supply (actually, a 9v battery should be
good enough) to test the bulbs when they are removed.
