Wheel torque

My understanding is that there is a different torque required to achieve
correct fastner 'stretch' depending on whether a lubricant is used or not.

I use anti-seize on my wheel bolts (modified '87 5kCStq) and have checked
them before and after track events... no change.

Note the words of the fastener specialists ARP at their site...
http://www.arp-bolts.com/pages/tech/images/fasttorq.pdf . Essentially, use
lubricant... and use the correct torque spec for the application.

I recall a demonstration on one of the Speed Channel programs... Two Guys
Garage?... where they used a special machine to measure bolt stretch with
and without lubricant. There was a significant difference in torque
required to reach the correct stretch (which is what the torque spec is
calculated to achieve) depending on whether or not lube was used.

Your choice... just understand what you're doing.
