Clamping brake lines? Brake Bleeding

This is referring to a basic gravity brake bleed?
Would using a power bleeder ($40 canister with air pump) negate this
clamping need?

I'm all in favor of saving $40 but this PB literally took 15 minutes last
summer,
- frozen bleed screws and your gonna take a lot longer though.-
What if someone's switched to SS brake lines at the calipers?

Fair call, brake hoses are as important as MC/ABS but a heck of a lot
cheaper..!
And now that I think about it, brake hoses seem to be soft enough to
allow this without feeling like your doing permanent damage...
Sounds like it may be a good idea, just be gentle I guess, and replace
old/damaged hoses....
