Hey all,

Wow...it feels like is been a LONG time since I've stopped in here. The new
job (marketing and product development at Vibrant Performance) is keeping me
REALLY busy. I suppose, though, that all great new jobs suck you in because
they're so much fun.

Perhaps a little update on the quattro is in order? I'll make it quick, as most
of you might remember I put 'er in the trees rallying it in March.

Well, 33.5 weeks after I was told "the roll cage will take 6 days" I have a 6
point cage!! Still to go are the door bars, main hoop 'X', seat mounts and belt
mounts...please, please, PLEASE don't let it take another 33 weeks!!

I bought a '75 VW beetle to use while the quattro is under the knife. Having a
few problems with the fuel injection. Man, I thought the bosch CIS systems
were annoying! HA! Try the '75 system! (it is widely known that when you
have
a problem with Beetle fuel injection the best/easiest solution is rip it out
and go with carbs!).

And now, the part I've been waiting two months to tell the audi list!

Part of my job at Vibrant Performance (vibrantperformance.com) is to develop
new products. Being an audi nut, especially an older audi nut, i'd love to
produce cat-back exhaust systems. Alas, the demand isn't exactly high enough
for our distribution system.

What I have created, however, is what we're calling the "eurofit" universal
muffler. I took the Audi 80/90/4000q rear muffler design, and produced a
stainless steel version of it. The muffler is designed to sit sideways between
the rear diff and the rear bumper. The inlet is on the side of the can, while
the outlet is on the end of the can. This means that NOW us Audi guys can
build custom exhaust systems for our cars without having to do the traditional
combination of 90 and 180 degree bends into the rear muffler. It is a
unviersal muffler, so inlet/outlet piping, hangers and tips all need to be
welded to the muffler. It does, however, expand our options as Audi owners!

The muffler is not being released until SEMA 2003, where pricing will be
announced (we have not determined pricing at the moment). I did, however, want
to release it to the quattro list first...as it was created will all of you in
mind.

Let me know what you think!
