"Insufficient"? I've never heard that. There's a whole department, I'm
sure, designing the electrical system on these cars, and literature like you
wouldn't believe regarding wire thickness, load, aging, and even rules about
insulation colors. The only design flaws I've ever heard about are the fan
ground, the routing of the light circuit through the switch (which works
flawlessly in the Golf/Jetta chassis), and the door handles. Oh, wait,
those aren't electrical. Or maybe they are ............. Only the issue of
the fan ground is, more or less, a wiring problem, but it's really a fan
motor failure problem anyway. You can always pull wire from boneyard cars
if you want the right stuff, BTW. John
