Rebuilding the high pressure steering hose?

I had the one on my A4, but in a pinch I replaced it with one from a junk
yard.  I think just about every Audi I have owned I have had a high pressure
hose fail.
These high pressure hoses have restrictors inline so just replacing the hose
was outta the question, but is there a way to re-use this restrictor and
have a hose person rebuild it?
