  Gary,

  Nice to hear from you!,
yah the racing was great my daughter(Paige) loved the
cars got her some more matchbox cars found an A4 and a
A6 Avant to add to her TTQ and convertable TT as well
Mark Swanson will like to hear that more cars for him
to play with at the Inn next year

after looking at my reciepts for the stuff this is
what I got,
1) shift lever- attatched to tranny with the metal
ball stud which I mentioned was my problem but since
it was so messy in you'r engine compartment I really
couldn't tell if it felt solid but the part # is
857-711-181-B
2) Washer- could probly reuse you'r old one but I got
a new one anyway's, it sits ontop of the assembly then
you pinch the top of the end of the shift rod to keep
the plastic half ball ontop of the metal ball half
from the shift lever part # is 431-711-224-A
3) Link- looks more like a half a hollow plastic ball,
it goes ontop of the shift leaver kinda a gasket part
# is 431-711-221
4) shear screw- holds the shift leaver to the tranny,
there's a little indent in the rod that comes out of
the tranny to except the shift leaver and the screw is
narrow at the end and gets fatter as it gets longer
you have to make sure that the screw lines up with the
little indent in the rod that comes from the tranny
part # is 443-711-189-A

If you'r going to replace just the ball stud gasket
ontop of the shift leaver you'll have to take out the
shift rod end
take into consideration that the two ends of the
siftrod don't meet there's a space and not alot of
room to manuver a 13mm wrench but it is doable
before tightning everything make sure the shifter
will go into 1st, 3rd,and 5th
remember I mentioned that it took me 1 1/2 hr's and
my girlfriends help to get it rite.
If you have more questions let me know, and if you
would like some help I wouldn't mind coming to your'e
place to help. You saied tou were in NY upstate?
I live in Mass near the Conn boarder,
let me know
Thanks
Ron
