Euro Light Install in 80Q

I'm trying to install some regular Euro lights in my '90 80Qthat I bought
recently and have run into a problem removing the old lights.  I've removed
the 4 screws but can't seem to be able to get the light itself out of the
front of the car.  There seems to be some mount in between the light and
turn signal on the bottom that is preventing it from coming out.  The light
itself is still in the plastic harness, and the Bentley is of no help (it
simply says "remove the light").
