Mass inspection

As a last resort I seem to remember that the Mass statute also had a
provision that if the repair to the vehicle exceeded a certain value of the
cars worth you could get an exempt or just a sticker to pass provided you
showed documentation and played their long list of rules and proceedures.
This may involve a judge but try the registrar in BOSTON first.  The office
building where they do plates not in China town, By the Fleet Center.

I saw a noise violation guy in NH with a boat get a ticket and beat it in
court but that's getting dragged thru the wringer.
Spend the $30 and go to another friendly station for the test.
Or drive for years without one...........
