Spark-
The Cap and rotor looked a little worn so I replaced them, while I was at it I
cleaned all the connections on the coil and the ground for the metal shield.
There was some corrosion on the cooper leads. It looks like good spark to me.

Fuel- with the number 4 cylinder plug removed it smelled like fuel was in the
cylinder. I did not get a visual confirmation I felt the odor was sufficient.

Throttle Linkage- I didn't have an assistant. but from the drivers seat it
looked like it was operating smoothly. I removed the boot and observed the
butterflies opening and closing properly. I also used my remote starter and
tried to start it by opening the linkage by hand.

The air plate moved with little effort no sticking etc. I only tried to lift
it a cm or so.

The "spare fuse" did not looked blown

It seemed like it wanted to start after cranking a bit but never did, I
thought this might be a matter of enough fuel getting down there that wanted
to make it start.

Also I might mention that I have only owned this car for about 3 months and
Monday was the second time it has rained since I bought it, and the other time
it rained I also had a non start situation that seemed to be remedied by
removing and reattaching the coil wire and the other coil connections. I don't
know if these incidents are related. I was reading in the archives of a
similar problem and the computer was getting wet, I will investigate if there
is any evidence of leaking in the passenger foot well.

Thanks Again

Chris Talley
