1990 CQ # 4 fuse blown (radio, dome light, hatch light, makeup lights and
AC control, trip computer and clock) Car runs fine. Temp control resets to
74 when car is started. AC is nonfunctional (no belt, needs charge) Pulled
the radio and instrument cluster. I tested with a DMM and there's still a
short some where. Now for the strange part. With the ignition off I can
here a faint clicking coming from the area around the back of the fuse
panel. Like a relay operating but much quieter. It is very rapid but when
you open the drivers door it slows down and if you open the passenger door
it quits. Is this related or just some thing that I never noticed until
now? I also need some pointers on where/how to look for this short. Both
door switches work(tested by function of window roll up not with DMM) Hatch
switch good. Should I get a "Lights on" ding when the passenger door is
opened and the headlights are left on? Opinions needed. Any BTDT?
Thanks,
Carlo
