What kind of car? (NAC)

I saw a rather interesting car in the West Chester, OH (suburb of
Cincinnati) area today.  I really wonder what kind of car it is, or if it's
just some random kit.  Starting from the back, it looks vaguely like a cross
between the bland corvette of the 80s and the curvier one of the 70s.  The
back lights were horizontally oriented rectangular light clusters with
vertically separated lights... very 80s in look.  the back curved up to what
looked like a single seat compartment.  The compartment was protected by
what looked like a fiberglass canopy.  In the back, the compartment comes to
a point but opens up wider in front for the passenger and windshield.  There
was a logo between the back of the compartment and the lights, but it was
almost parallel to the ground and with the bright sunlight I couldn't make
it out.  In the front there were two large haunches for the wheels that
extended, Le Mans style, all the way to the front.  The haunches rose above
the hood, and had cut outs in the front with recessed square lights (very Le
Mans-esque in appearance).  It was a nice racey red, and the driver seemed
middle aged.  Anyone know of anything like this in the Cincinnati area?

I'd love to find out what it was,
