im selling my 1988 80 TQ....
it has an MC bottom end with a rebuilt JT head with new lifters and
valve stem seals. When building the motor (August '02) i put brand new seals
and gaskets throughout the entire engine (doesnt leak a drop) along with new
injectors and injector seals. As for the drivetrain, the car has a transaxle
from a 91 90Q with 90K mi. along with a new 20V Coupe Quattro clutch disc
(240mm) and pressure plate, throwout bearing etc.
The car is using a one piece exhaust manifold with a k26 turbo, all
pushing out of a 3in. cat and 3in. exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. As for
the intake, i am using a 20V single pass intercooler customized to fit in the
stock location of the auxillary water cooler. Fueling is provided by the
stock CIS system with a modified fuel pressure regulator for high boost which
i have run at 12-13lbs of boost without any problems. The cooling system is
stock with an added Mocal 19 row oil cooler with AN lines to keep the car
running extra cool.
As for the rest of the car, it is sitting on 18X7 MAK wheels with Toyo
Proxies 215/35/18 and the 2Bennett Coilover system with 380lbs springs all
the way around and Koni adjustables.
While doing all this work to the car i have replaced many maintenece
parts, such as ball joints, CV's CV boots, wheel bearings, fuel pump,
etc....The interior of the car is stock except for a boost gauge and fuel
mixture readout. The car is a total sleeper, has tons of power, and
extremely fun to drive.
