Not really. You will need to fix it properly at some point anyway, so
the bypass is just more work now and later (to un-bypass it).
Here is the problem you will have: no defroster/defogger for the front
window. You need the front window to be clear, quite often, when
driving a car.
You might want to open up the climate knobs, it's not too hard (pulll
knobs, undo screws, remove cover, after that I don't remember...) to see
if the culprit is within easy reach - or if you can at least close the
flap that way and leave it apart until you have time to go in there and
suffer to do it right.
