George,

IMHO and IME, worn pistons and valve seats will *never* cause a huge cloud
of blue smoke on startup. A bad turbo or bad valve stem oil seals probably
will but at that mileage it's very weird to have such failures. Anyway,
keep on pissing the dealer off until he decides to have the engine replaced
or fixed or whatever!
