Is the Cruise Control Servo/Regualtor Bad?

Hmm...sucking on the end of an almost twenty year old vaccum
system...Yuck...LOL
Thought of that, I may end up trying it out, today.

You might think so but I'm not sure just what pressure this system runs

at. If it operates at a low level vacuum (relative to ambient, not a
low
absolute pressure) then there might appear to have very little "suck"
while
still providing adequate vacuum for the system to function if there are
no
other leaks.

I'd still suggest checking the hoses before spending a lot of time and

money replacing parts.

Hey, how about this? Try sucking with your mouth on the end of the
hose
where it attaches to the pump. If the system is tight then it should
feel
more or less like sucking on a soda straw with your finger over the
other
end. If you don't feel that resistance then you have a leak
somewhere.
