... that is the risk you run when you make the decision to go FLAPS ...
there is a higher chance it will not be the correct part ...

I have absolutely no BTDT with your car, but in general on the cars slightly
older than yours there was a problem with the guide sleeve that the release
bearing rides on ... the original part is plastic and wears over time.  If
that looks at all to be a possibility for you you might want to get a guide
sleeve to see if that fixes it.  IME the guide sleeve is very inexpensive
even from the dealer ... and a little secret ... ask if the same part is
available from Porsche ... if it is the same part as used in the older Audi
trannies, Porsche has the same part and they actually ask less for it than
Audi and VW do ... I think the price was less than U$10 ...
