clutch release bearing

I am in the process of relacing my clutch on my 1990 90 fwd.  The clutch
release bearing the auto parts guys gave me doesnt fit very well, its the
SKF #VKC3581 8794 114Y_.  I believe the VKC3581 is the part number in
question.  The tranny is original so I am wondering if this is a mix up or
just that the skf bearing doesnt fit.  Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.
