Generally, every model (with manual trans) can be push-started.
It totaly depends on how much electrical power the engine needs
to fire up. If you have an electrical fuel pump, you need more.
If you have an ECU controlling your ignition you need more than
with the simple hall-effect-transitor-iginition and so on. A tiny
little amount is needed to make the alternator produce current
also.
So far, the old carbureted engines with transistor-ignition, vacuum
advance and mechanical fuel pump bolted to the block will be push-
started much easier than a fully loaded, computer controlled
electrical fuel injected one. The CIS-models lay somewhere in
between (el. fuel pump, mechanical injection, vacuum-advanced
ignition, no ECU). And it totaly depends on how flat your
battery really is. Managed to push-start a CIS-model with a weak
battery but didn't manage to start a 1.8l carbureted pre T44
with a completely flat on. Even coasting down the car a steep
hill for 1km didn't help. Sprung to live with a second battery at
the first turn of the key, though.
Sometimes it helps to pull the fuses to all unneccessary items
which are powered with ignition-on on a push-start to help the
voltage built up a little better...
Someone told, he -- with a completly flat battery and the car not
starting on pushing, connected a 9V block battery to the cigarette
lighter and tried again, that was enough to start up the car on the
next push...
So long!
Ero.
