Question

The reason that I ask is that I have the opportunity to get a hold of a KH
for about $200. It is the later model with the oil squirters and the water
and oil cooled turbo. I was wondering if it would be a good buy or if I
should wait it out for a MC

Well, what's a good conversion to you? If your
swapping fuel and ign systems, you want the MC. If
your going EFI (please do) I guess you can use either
one, the KH would be a good choice if it has the oil
squirters to cool the piston mainly because the intake
manifold is great for EFI, and the 8.0:1 CR would be
perfect. Eventough the MC has a slightly lower CR,
you still can't go wrong with it. Many people will
argue it's the srongest street I-5 ever built. I
would use a MC motor with KH intake manifold, EFI, and
MC ignition system. If you use the MC ignition system
on the KH motor, it might ping a little so the MC-2
system might work better since it was built for a
motor with 8.5:1 CR.
