fuel distributor pre-delivery screen/filter?

I have one of those.  It's on the 5kt.  I thought it
was "supposed" to be there and mine was missing so I
grabbed 1 at the boneyard and it's still on there.  I
think.  I think this filter is in a banjo bolt?
