good source for pure toluene?

I can chime in on this one. I used toluene in my Passat 1.8T. I beta tested some chips for Rene Berube (president of UPsolute USA) when they first began chipping the 1.8T in the USA. I had a 1.2 bar chip (or 2.2 bar including 1 bar atmosphere) in it for about a month. It would detonate on 93 octane gas so I had to up the octane with toluene. One gallon per tank (roughly 12 gallson of gas + 1 gallon of toluene) completely elimated the detonation and allowed the ECU to use the more advanced timing maps. It made a big difference in the feel of the engine. But it was a VERY expensive way to go. It makde a normally $18 tank of gas really cost $27. That was jsut too expensive to run in the long term, so I swapped the chip for a 1 bar chip...
