good source for pure toluene?

Marc, I've gotten it at local chemical supply companies and even at hardware store type places.  I don't know if I'd consider having it shipped, you should have more than enough local sources to justify not shipping.  Definitely throw some in the tank, work very well, I use up to 10%.
