If you are using the 3M upholstery adhesive the body shop supply store
will have the adhesive remover for that item. We used to use 3M fastac
to glue sewup tires on the rims and the remover was great to get the
glue off the rim and I have used to pull tar of the paint on my car. If
you worry about using something to aggressive try WD-40 it breaks down
sticky stuff real well and will not hurt anything.
