weird window operation

AFAIR, on my 85 5kt, the current limiters were placed in the aux relay
panel underneath the dash. Either that or in some fusebox in the well by
the driver's seat. I seem to remember four 1/4 x 1 inch metallic modules in
one of those locations.

However, if all windows are failing at the same time, I doubt it's the
thermal current limiters. Page through the wiring diagrams in your Bentley
manual and find out what common connections there are for the windows.
