HP Valve Springs breaking?

Grant, hp valve springs don't break as a matter of course...lets say its not
build into the design on purpose as you're implying.
It sounds like you got a faulty production run, I would definitely contact
the manufacturer, realistically they should consider helping you with the
costs to repair this problem and get your car back on the road.
