Yes, all the compressors that we're talking about here have mounting
bosses on both sides of the body so they can be mounted on either side
of the engine.

Shouldn't be that bad, the hose materials and fittings shouldn't be
more than $40-$50 or so, and the rest is labor. Your A/C shop
will quote you a price.
