HP Valve Springs breaking?

He won't tell you who made the valve springs?! That's great- I suggest
immediate public humiliation of this person right here, live. At least then
no one else will get thusly screwed.
I've had plenty of good experience with Techtonics over the years; give
them a call and see if they can suggest a way to ID the 'bad' springs.
