Aha!! Right, so it could override the ecu's inbuilt safetys, nasty, I don't
very much like the sound of that!!!! I did wonder if advancing the timing
would achieve similar results, but im sure Javad mentioned that the ecu
would just ignore that anyway. I can't believe unscrupulous people out there
can do that, I knew it was cheap, but figured it would just be a clone! It
does also say NOT TUV approved........... I guess the rule is you get
nothing for free (or very cheap).

Well, if you're lucky, maybe the ECU will still use
the knock sensor but I can't commit as I don't know
what's programmed inside...

The 20vt Ebay chips instead, and it's 200% sure, don't
use the knock sensor anymore, and guess what happens
when you have inaudible knock for 30 seconds at 250 on
the Autobahn? The block throws a rod! Yeah right, this
happened to a friend of mine a few weeks ago...

If you advance the timing manually you'll get the same
effect I think and it won't cost you 35 Euro :-)
