1993 S4 oil leak

I have an oil leak problem on my 1993 S4. It seems simple enough. The leak
is at the front corner of the valve cover gasket on the exhaust side. When I
bought the car in Nov. of 2002 the local Audi dealer had replaced the gasket
about 2,000 miles before. It was leaking badly in the same spot. I assumed
the dealer had installed the gasket incorrectly. I replaced the gasket
taking special care in this front corner area. The car was leak free for
3,000 mile. The leak is back in the same spot as bad as ever. Any ideas?
