Just had the high pressure hose rebuilt by aeroquip here in orlando.
They refitted a new hose with the old fittings. The guy who did it has
been working on p/s and other hydraulic systems for 20 years (so he
said), and it worked great on the first drive. Before you ask, yes the
silencer is in, however it was a very snug fit on the rebuild end, and
yes we did prime the pump by raising the front end off the ground and
cycling the pump by turning point to point repeatedly (a good 3 min
straight).

This was the same day (Wednesday) that we found the Kostal connector
that wasn't plugged in at the center console that powered the fr and
rear cigarette lighters, rear seat heaters, and the S E M transmission
switch.

Put the car back down, connected the VAG-COM and went out for a test
drive. The car drove great, the best that it has since I got it. The
new version of the VAG-COM software has a VAG-Scope feature that allows
you to see in a real time graph any of the measuring block values at a
time. This allows you to see the patterns, and or spikes that the
values make. The one that we were looking at was the O2 sensor value
which is supposed to range between 128 and 134, and it DID! It was a
dead on Sine curve around 130. The car was no longer stuck in sport
mode and all was well. No stalling problem or RPM drops.

Then on Thursday I went out to take care of some errands and the car was
acting up again. It stalled in traffic coming to a stop and the p/s was
creating so much cavitation that it began shaking the car when I would
accelerate and turn the wheel. I parked and raised the RPM's to around
1.5K and turned the wheel repeatedly and developed a VIOLENT shaking.
So much that you could feel it throughout the entire car.

What is the problem??? Is the Internal Diameter (ID) too small causing
increased pressure and/or too much restriction for the pump to pump
through? When turning the wheel you can hear the pump is not happy.
Also it is as though the P/S pump is just gulping the power away from
the engine as well. Almost like it is working so hard to turn the pump
it needs all that extra pressure.

I removed the silencer tonight and the vibrating is WORSE!!!!

HELP!!!
