If mandrel bent, a 2.5" system might do you quite nicely- but given the
bends in the system under my wagon, I plan to go 3" myself.

I like the flowmaster on my other car.  Another possibility to keep the
noise down is to put a glasspack, resonator, or other straight-through
muffler in the system under the car to suppliment the rear muffler.

I know several guys that have 3" press-bent systems with dynomax mufflers
on DSMs that didn't like the noise, but were very pleased after adding a
glasspack as well.  They claimed little or no loss and much more
reasonable sound. I plan to do this to both my cars.
