Symptoms of failing fuel press accumulator?

Most common symptom is diffculty with warm starts (not cold, not hot,
after the car has been run, shut off and then left sitting for 15 minutes
to an hour or so).  A possible side effect of a failed fuel accumulator
might be slight surging during running, as a secondary function
of the device is to damp fuel pressure variations downstream from the
pump.

Note that the warm start difficulty could also be caused by leaky fuel
injector(s) or bad fuel pump check valve.
