Greetings Audinauts...

Having had my Datsun 240Z smashed by SUV driving idiot, and my 200q not clo=
se enough to completion for daily use, I am seeking out a replacement daily=
driver. Past posts regarding suitable Audis have led me in the direction, =
currently, of an 80/90q. Found a reasonable example, but (as do all '80s Au=
dis) it needs a little TLC.

The rear quarter window (the one that says "quattro" is broken (No, I've ch=
ecked, it's not a stolen car ;0). Being up to my nose in types 44 and 85 bu=
t new to the 89 series, I have no idea how much of a bargaining tool this s=
hould be.

I have a great pull-your-part nearby, and until recently they had a fwd 90 =
(its rear axle is holding up Ken Keith's CGT now!). From there it would hav=
e been about $10. I know I'll not likely be that lucky, but abouut how much=
 are we talking here??

I must be insane. 100% vintage Q fleet? Why not? No Audi has ever left me s=
tranded...

and it reflects badly on dorF when an '88 80q is quieter and faster than an=
 '03 Focus. BTdoingT!
