Leather conditioner/softener

Surflex (www.colorplus.com) is one product and Leatherique
(www.leatherique.com) is a competitor. Both offer products to condition
and soften leather, and dye that can be colour matched to a sample.
If you can gain access to the flesh side of the leather by disassembling
the item, pure Neatsfoot oil applied liberally to the flesh side is the
best softener and conditioner. The problem with car seat leather is that
it is almost waterproof/oilproof so the conditioners have a tough time
soaking in and doing their job.
