I still need to buy those gaskets so not sure how thick they are. I was
just thinking about the talk regarding phenolic spacers. I think that
came up last year. I could find someone to make up one for me, or just
have the machine shop make a thin aluminium spacer when they make the
fuel rail and other aluminium pieces I need. Probably be alot easier
than trying to find a round TB out here. :) The only issue I have
noticed while doing the polishing work on IM is that the lower edges of
IM (the lower part of the back of the flange area) will need to be
ground down closer to the runners in order to clear the factory EM. Just
a bit of beveling.

I'll play around tomorrow with some very thin board.

One thing I've noticed about the aluminium the IM is made of, it really
is one hell of a pitted surface. I thought I was going a bit mad while
polishing it, but the pits sure do go very deep on some areas. Also
sometimes looks like 2 different alloys used.
