You can probably squeeze it in there with that
clearence.  One thing you can also do is make your TB
round if your handy with welding aluminum.  It
wouldn't be the end of the world if the hole in the
point of the teardrop was open to atmosphere.  Also
using two IM gaskets might get you another mm if you
really need it.
