Well,
After to many hours and to many questions I finally fixed it. It
appears that the rad fan sensor was bad. It was intermittently bad...IE
it would almost 0 ohm, then inifinity, then some number inbetween...etc.
After I cleaned the connector contacts (Female) I was able to jump the
wires and the fan would come on. I went to an auto parts store and got
a new rad fan coolant sensor, with a much lower turn on temp, and it was
fixed.
Before the switch, the engine would heat up to about 3/4 hot then the
fan would come on, now when it hits the 1/2 mark the fan kicks on. I am
much happier with this temp range then the old temp range. Of course,
now I have to put a higher one in for the 4-5 months of winter we get
here in Minnesota..Part of Fall Prep I guess.

Thanks to everyone who had an idea, I guess in some cases the simpliest
answer is the right answer!

Thanks again,
